Former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, has agreed to go on tour with Madonna.
This morning on “This Week,” former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was asked if he would join Mitt Romney as the vice-presidential candidate on the Republican ticket in November.
Huckabee responded: “I have not been asked. I think there’s a greater likelihood that I’ll be asked by Madonna to go on tour as her bass player than I’ll be picked to be on the ticket.”
Well, apparently Madonna was listening, because she has asked Huckabee to join her on her current world tour.
The MDNA is Madonna’s ninth concert tour. She will visit Asia, Europe and the Americas. The tour is expected to be extended into 2013, with shows in Australia. It features the singer’s first concert appearances in the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and Colombia.
Huckabee who hosts his own show on FoxNews is leaving his job to play bass on the tour. Huckabee has been playing bass since he was a little boy in Arkansas. From all reports he is as good a bass player as he was a Governor
Huckabee is thrilled to be joining Madonna on tour – “the dream of my lifetime” he reportedly told friends in Little Rock. Madonna is planning on singing “Papa Don’t Preach” to Huckabee during the show, and Huckabee has agree to take the lead vocal on Vogue.
Madonna was not planning on taking MDNA to America, but with Huckabee on board she’s considering a string of 50 concerts. The duo could be on tour together through 2016, when there are reports they may run on a ticket for the White House: Huckabee/Madonna 2016.
